One of the most requested quality-of-life features in Grow a Garden is finally here. With the April 2025 update (v1.05.0), players can now Favorite items. This system prevents accidental selling, discarding, or harvesting of items you want to keep safe.
Before the update, players had no way to lock items in their inventory. Now, once you mark an item as a Favorite, it becomes locked until you remove the tag.
With the new Favoriting system, managing your items and crops in Grow a Garden has never been easier. Whether you’re protecting rare fruits or keeping your harvest safe for later, this feature ensures you won’t lose what matters most. How to Favorite Items in Your Inventory
- Open your Inventory
- Right-click (or the equivalent action on your device) on an item
- Click on the Heart (Favorite) icon
- The item is now locked with a heart symbol
To remove the Favorite tag:
- Open your Inventory
- Right-click (or equivalent) on an item marked as Favorite
- Click the active Heart icon again
- The item is unlocked

Crop Favoriting
In addition to inventory items, crops can also be Favorited using the Favorite Tool, which costs Sheckle 20,000,000 or 119 Robux in the Gear Shop.
- Once applied, a heart icon appears on the fruit.
- Favorited crops cannot be harvested unless you remove the Favorite status.
- You can un-Favorite by re-using the tool on the crop or using the Magnifying Glass.
- The Favorite status persists through game reloads.
- Important: The Favorite Tool does not protect fruits from being stolen.
